Somewhere in India, at this very moment, a loom is still running.
In a narrow lane in Varanasi, a weaver has been at work since before sunrise. His hands move effortlessly—the shuttle passes, the threads interlock, and slowly, over days, a saree begins to take shape. He doesn’t know who will wear it. He simply knows how it should feel.
A few hundred kilometres away, in the quiet workshops of Chanderi, a woman carefully stretches silk across a frame worn smooth by decades of use. She learned this craft from her mother, who learned it from hers. The pattern she is weaving today is older than anyone in her family can remember.
This is more than craftsmanship. It is a legacy woven through generations.
The Distance We Wanted to Close
This craft has survived centuries. What it hasn't always survived is the distance between the loom and the woman who would truly cherish wearing it.

We travel to artisan clusters across India, spending time with master weavers and understanding the stories behind every weave. We bring back pieces that are honest, timeless, wearable, and genuinely handcrafted.
